Cheer Coordinator
Leah Mason
Hello everyone, I have been cheer coordinator for five years and am proud of the tremendous growth of our cheer program over those five years. One of the biggest things I have created as coordinator is a Big Sister/Little Sister program in order to truly have a family mentality in our cheer program. These girls teach me something every year and I couldn't be more proud!

Assistant Cheer Coordinator
Nikki Melucci
I’m so excited to be back with the KRAKENS !! This time around I get the pleasure of being the assistant cheer coordinator !! I can’t wait to bring energy, teamwork, and spirit to the squad while helping young athletes grow in confidence and skill. Cheer is more than pom-poms and routines; it’s about building lifelong friendships, discipline, and a love for the game. I’m ready to jump in and make this season an amazing one !

Fundraising Director
David Brownell
Hello, I am David Brownell, the Fundraising Director for the Krakens—I am a medically retired Army Infantry combat veteran passionate about community-driven initiatives. I hold a BAS in Supervision and Management and Organizational Administration and am pursuing my MPA at the University of South Florida. As a lifelong football enthusiast, having played from childhood through high school, I believe every child deserves the opportunity to experience the excitement of sports. Our program proudly offers football and cheer, providing a platform for children to develop essential life skills, build confidence, and create lifelong memories in a safe and nurturing environment. Through fundraising efforts, we aim to ensure our program remains accessible, helping our young athletes and cheerleaders grow into capable, confident, and compassionate individuals.

In my spare time, you can find me at a Tampa Bay Lightning game or snuggling with my dog. I’m looking forward to another incredible season with this awesome group of kids. RELEASE THE KRAKENS!
